M. Rebecca Hill is the most recent addition to Johnston, Moore & Thompson. She is a native of Huntsville and, with the exception of her college and law school years, has lived in Huntsville all her life. She and her husband are now members of Mayfair Church of Christ and they recently welcomed their first child, a daughter, to their family.

Rebecca attended Auburn University where she earned her B.A. degree in Criminology with a minor in English. After college, Rebecca immediately began her law school career at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. As one of the top members of her class, Rebecca was awarded placement on one of the Cumberland Law Reviews, The American Journal of Trial Advocacy. She also earned a place on the National Moot Court team and was honored by her Dean and other professors as being nominated for membership for “Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.” She finished her law school career in the top of her class.

Since graduating law school in May 2006, Rebecca has practiced primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy as well as Commercial Transactions and Litigation. She has represented both debtors and creditors in Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13 Bankruptcies. In addition, Rebecca has guided various Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, and Partnerships through several types of corporate transactions and has represented both individuals and companies in corporate litigation.
